Paul is a co-founder and principal shareholder of Square Peg Capital, which is an active investor in technology businesses in the early stages and growth throughout the Asia Pacific region. Paul is passionate about mentoring management teams focused on creating exceptional companies.
Paul is director of Wesfarmers Ltd and commissioner of the Australian Football League (AFL). He is on the board of several non-profit organizations, including the College of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, the Mount Scopus College Foundation and the P & S Bassat Foundation. He was appointed as Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum in 2009.
Paul co-founded SEEK in 1997 and served as CEO and then as joint CEO between 1997 and 2011. SEEK is the largest online employment company in the world and in 13 years it went from being one of the top 100 Australian companies with a capitalization $ 2.5b stock SEEK has operations in numerous markets throughout Australasia, Asia, Latin America and South America. SEEK has been consistently ranked as one of the best employers in Australia in the last decade.
Paul began his career as a lawyer and practiced for 6 years working in a variety of corporate transactions.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
