"Good morning thanks to Evan for all your emails, they have been very useful and inspiring, however I am confused about something.
I have a jewelry making business and its still small that you really need to get an office to secure more sales and embark on the next phase of my plan which is to start a training center. But a lot of friends and coleagues are advicing me against it by saying that it is not yet time and that I should hold until I can conveniently pay without taking a loan or asking favors, but my gut is telling me that the time is now and I must take risk even if it is a loan.
I do not know, please, how about Evan? "

Startup Loans – Should I take a loan out for my business?

    1. if you take out a big loan to start a business and fuck up, can't you just take out an even bigger loan to pay off your last on then use a fraction of whats left to start a new one or maintain the piece of crap you had before, and then an even bigger loan to pay that one off?
and if you go in to so much debt that you risk prison can't you just goto Ecuador? before its too late? and then take out more loans there?

    2. He hit the nail in the head. It takes money to make more money do not speculate. The smartest loan to get is a line of credit just in case you get a whosaler that wants to buy a large amount. The line will give you the financial backing so you wont lose the sale.

    3. Great service Evan. I'm sticking to a small space till demand grows. Good to hear this from you.

    4. Think Big, Go hard, Kickass. 'Merica

Small time thinking means teeny tiny results.
Money isn't real its abstract, its real in a sense that it's
a commodity that reveals the value of other
commodities. But money should never warp
ones thinking to not do things as one wishes,
the point of a business is Freedom.

Only a fool would not use all the financial tools
available for growth. Only a short time to live,
and wasting it, building a business small and
slow is insane to me, given the fragile biological
      composition of sapiens.

Capital circulation is the most flexible system, it can
do anything you want. fUCK CANADA

Always one option that is optimal in any situation that's
how the universe works, there are no traps.
So if you want the loan take the loan. The Universe has
a meta accounting system, and for sure you won't dent or bankrupt
the universe:) Credit score is nonsense.

    12. Hello Evan, I am a beginning entrepreneur. I just watched this video. I agree with you but kinda disagree in my situation. Here is why. I quit my full time job (high paying one ) last year. I wanted to start my own farm and serve people in community quality food. Since I had no farming experience, When i quit my job, i did s farm apprenticeship on a farm for one full season (unfortunately the apprenticeship was unpaid). That farm where i apprenticed was 40 miles one way travel from where i lived. This year, I started my farm on a small scale to understand what it takes to get into production, my own limitations, and processes and market. I invested in this small farm from my savings. I moved to a suburbs from city and took that change. My day to day expenses are supported from my husband's full time job. Next year, i am planning to take a loan from an alternative vendor for farm operating expenses. Part time job wasnt an option in my case.

    13. For example: Starting a gym. In this case I know the same concepts of starting small apply, however without a location at the beginning of the business is it really possible?

    14. I was thinking of asking TD for a small loan of $100-$250 to buy Plain Black Unisex Gildan T-Shirts, Spray Paints (I have Gold Silver and ordered White yesterday), Spray Adhesive (I already have), Krazy Glue (I have less than a 5g bottle left), Tape (have), Printer Paper (lack), and maybe Printer Ink.
I have Schizoaffective Disorder so I've not been hired in years, and I don't intend on sponging off of taxpayers through SSI, so I've decided to conjoin my Art & Schizo to create 'Schizo Shirt Line'.
I've created an Instagram account solely for the purpose of networking as far and wide as possible. Two people clicked on my website link 'Shop Now' button on my Facebook page.
I intend to sell the shirts I make for about $10-$20 + Shipping.
I've been practicing, ruining a few shirts, and learning lessons through trial and error as well as YouTube and Google help. I have 2-4 signature trademarks so far, and I've created an Area 51 worded stencil that I searched on Google but can't find elsewhere, which may mean I'll be the first one to come out with a lot of my shirt ideas.
I'm excited AF, and I don't need the space as much as I just need a bit of a boost.
You can imagine I can do very good with a mere $100, because I will make that $100 work for me.
I've been afraid of the idea of a bank loan, and I'm not even sure if they CAN lend such a small quantity.
I'm a newb when it comes to money business, but I've been an artist since I could speak English. I have confidence enough to say I know exactly what I'm doing. I've been working with stencils for a month or so.
I'm sorry for writing so much. This was the exact video I needed to watch right now.
I'm about to be 29. Before I'm 30, I plan to see ppl rocking my clothes. Because shirts are just the beginning. I'm beginning small because I know better. I don't have much now, and I've already lost everything once.
People are waiting for my shirts! ^_^ What would you say to me?
Thanks for the time spent reading my comment.
      -Schizo

    16. what if I am in business development for a company and people want me to start my own business doing the same thing?

    17. very helpful info. was going to go for a loan to start a screen printing business, but I think I should just go small and go with these online stores like teepublic or cafe press and just build from there.

      thanks for the info
